A part of the group response to the issue of disappearing public spaces and their replacement with corporate managed private areas. These new spaces are often designed as a backdrop for gentrification and are created with a transient spectator in mind instead of serving the community. They function as an advertisement for developers merely simulating traditional public space while appealing to aspirations of greener, cool and creative lifestyle. Our main concern were the meticulously designed and maintained green spaces as a form of simulated hyperreality.
